After the successful first European Congress of Medical Physics 2016  in Athens, it is my pleasure to welcome all the European Medical Physicists attending the second ECMP 2018 in Copenhagen.

Bridging knowledge across specialties, not only is the motto of the Congress but also among the main reasons to participate in this scientific initiative.

AIRP organizza a Ferrara per il prossimo 20 settembre, nell’ambito delle Fiera REMTECH-EXPO 2017, una Giornata di Studio interamente dedicata al problema della gestione dei rifiuti radioattivi in Italia. Sarà l’occasione per incontrare i principali attori nazionali, pubblici e privati, che operano in questo questo settore.

Il Convegno dBAincontri2017, tradizionalmente organizzato da Regione Emilia Romagna, INAIL ed Azienda USL di Modena, si pone l'obiettivo di approfondire i temi delle radiazioni ionizzanti e non ionizzanti (CEM), in particolare in considerazione del recepimento della Direttiva 2013/59/Euratom (previsto entro il 6 febbraio 2018) e della recente entrata in vigore del nuovo Capo IV del Titolo VIII sui CEM.

In the last years, the use of CO2 contrast medium instead of iodine for angiographic procedures has rapidly increased due to the growing problem of iodine intolerance and availability of new easy-to-use automatic or manual injection systems. Despite a quite long interval from the proposal of this radiological procedure and a non enthusiastic acceptance by radiologists, the recent technological and clinical upgrading is steeply increasing the number of procedures, highlighting the real diagnostic potential and the lack of a deep knowledge of the biomechanical and radiological aspects.
