COFUND and Sêr Cymru II - KEY DATES For October 2017 submission

The Welsh government has just published the dates for submitting applications to the Sêr Cymru II & COFUND fellowships. These are schemes designed to attract to Wales bright scientist with an interest to develop their academic career.

Welsh Government’s call for Sêr Cymru II (including) COFUND fellowships is now open with a deadline of 16th October 2017. Please note that for this round the COFUND fellowships are for 2 years duration only.
To ensure submission of high-quality applications to Welsh Government’s Sêr Cymru II schemes, CBLS have scheduled a CBLS Sêr Cymru II assessment panel for early September 2017.  The key dates are set out below, apologies for the tight timescales this is due to the time-frame set by Welsh Government.  All COFUND and Sêr Cymru II Fellowship applications will require the formal approval of the BLS Sêr Cymru II assessment panel and no application may be submitted to Welsh Government without this approval.
Intention to submit sent to the School Research Office (SOMRES@cardiff.ac.uk<mailto:SOMRES@cardiff.ac.uk>) by midday on Thursday 31st August 2017.
Following internal School peer review, Schools should submit a list of applications that they intend to support to Keith Sexton (SextonK@cardiff.ac.uk<mailto:SextonK@cardiff.ac.uk>) by Tuesday 5th September 2017
Schools should submit application forms, along with completed CAP forms, to RISResearchDevelopment@cardiff.ac.uk<mailto:RISResearchDevelopment@cardiff.ac.uk> by Monday 11th September 2017
