CONCLUSIONS. It was verified that decreasing plan MU increases segments sizes and dose delivery accuracy without a relevant deterioration of the dose distribution. Maximum value of plan MUs could be used to increase dose accuracy and reduce plan complexity; similarly to others optimization parameters, an adequate balance has to be found to achieve the best plan solution.
