The course on RF coils: Design and build your own coil provides an overview of the basic principles of designing, constructing and testing of RF coils for both animal and human scanners. Practical sessions will cover approximately 50% of the course, in which participants will learn to build surface and volume RF coils relevant to their particular interests. More advanced topics include double-tuned coils and coil arrays. Finally, components such as hybrids, couplers, shields, baluns and isolation circuits are discussed.
The workshop is focused on, brain function and structure, physiology and metabolism, as assessed with Magnetic Resonance and compatible techniques. The Workshop is open to physicists, clinicians, and basic scientists.
After the successful first European Congress of Medical Physics 2016 in Athens, it is my pleasure to welcome all the European Medical Physicists attending the second ECMP 2018 in Copenhagen.
Bridging knowledge across specialties, not only is the motto of the Congress but also among the main reasons to participate in this scientific initiative.
Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the nuclear medicine field, we are committed to supporting the multidisciplinary team of professionals working in this area to keep abreast of new developments and emerging clinical applications.
Efforts from international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) are vital in supporting professionals in maintaining their competencies through Continuous Medical Education.
A special Symposium entitled "The future of Medical Physics", will be organised in Pistoia - a city in Tuscany declared by the national Government the "Italian Capital of Culture" for the current year to celebrate IDMP2017. Thanks to this status, the location is granted special attention by the media and a significant public coverage of the event is expected. The program focuses on future developments of our discipline, especially in non-traditional areas, involving national and international personalities from the research world.
The EFOMP and COCIR (The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry) in collaboration with the Czech Association of Medical Physicists and the Department of Dosimetry and Application of Ionizing Radiation of Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague would like to invite you to the next ESMPE CT 2018. The school will be aimed at advanced tasks connected with Computed Tomography. The school will cover the main physics aspects of the CT technology, Dosimetry and Optimization.
This joint course organised by the International Agency for Atomic Energy (IAEA), the Jules Bordet Institute and BELNUC will offer a comprehensive view on the use of theranostics and radionuclide therapy anno 2017.
This course aims to provide basic and in-depth state-of-the art insight on current image-based radionuclide therapy strategies in the clinic and emerging radiopharmaceuticals.
