We seek one (1) graduate or PhD fellow interested in research on the neural representation of gravity, balance control and vestibular disorders particularly through functional and structural MRI techniques and connectivity analyses.
The candidate should preferably hold a degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a PhD in Neuroscience or related disciplines and should possess knowledge of statistical methods, basic programming experience (MATLAB in particular) and preferably knowledge of SPM, FSL and other programs for image analysis.
The applicant will join the neuromotor physiology lab at the Scientific Institute Fondazione Santa Lucia in Rome (www.hsantalucia.it). The lab facilities comprise a 3T MRI scanner.
Applicants will recruit participants, help in designing the experimental protocols, acquire and analyse behavioural and MR data, write scientific papers.
The position is initially available for a period of 12 months, starting as soon as possible.
